Celebrating HIS Birthday

This month has been great and all of the celebration of December culminates on the twenty-fifth of the month when we get to receive and give gifts to each other.  I was excited to hear about Jesus' birth and how He was born in a manger for us.  A couple of days prior to the twenty-fifth Mom, Dad and I went to the Gaylord Opry Hotel to see all the beautiful Christmas decorations.  There a Christmas tree there that was the largest I've ever seen, and man was it beautiful!
So, on Christmas morning I slept till about nine o'clock and when I got up this is what I found...
Now this was definitely worth getting out of bed for.  The present opening began and then I played with my toys for hours after that.  My favorite gift of the day was my Handy-Manny pop-up tent...I love it, and after I opened it I opened all of my other gifts while sitting in my new tent.
After opening all the gifts and eating a very big breakfast....and then playing with the new toys a little more, we all got dressed and went to some friends' home.  While there we celebrating Jesus' birth with cake and singing "Happy Birthday" to Him.  I'm pretty sure my Mom and Dad said this would become a family tradition of ours!
After a great nap and some more playing, the day ended!  It was definitely a Merry Christmas for our family and I love all of my gifts.  I hope that you and your family had a wonderful time celebrating Jesus' birthday!

Good Night,
Davis

PS.  Stay tuned for the next chapter in my life...

Christmas....The Whole Month of December

Recently I had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas a little early with Grammy and Pop-pop and then in North Carolina with the Asbys. Before we arrived in Greenville, NC we decided that we would stop in and see some of my favorite cousins, Crystal and Darren.  It was awesome because we didn't get to their house until about 3:00 AM and then they were dying to give me some presents....I loved it!!  They gave me some super cool hats along with some clothes and toys!  The greatest thing was, they said they were gonna come visit me soon...woohoo!!  We were ready to leave Charlotte, NC and head over to Greenville when it started snowing....and that was a first for me!
When I arrived in Greenville I had some of Grandma's chocolate pie, and it was yummy! It's always great to see my Aunt Lori, Alan, Bryce, and of course, play with Uncle Quentin!  It was fun opening some presents with them and playing with some new toys, including Mr. Potato head!
I was able to see so many people that I hadn't seen in a long time and even meet some people that I had never met before.  It was cool!

I also went to my Grandaddy Asby's church on Wednesday night while in North Carolina.  I had the chance to meet alot of really nice people there!
I have to say, it was a really long ride but, it was well worth it to be able to see everyone and have the blast that we had.  I hope you all are having a great December and that you have opened some presents early too!

I will talk to you real soon, because I need to tell you what we've experienced here in Hendersonville!

Merry Christmas,
Davis

Couple of Things

Recently I have been one busy boy!  Grammy and Pop-pop left Tennessee and headed back to Florida and I started preparing for a quick trip to North Carolina.  I'm looking forward to connecting with some of my Mom's old friends and some family as well.  We will have a dessert fellowship at my Grandaddy Asby's church and it will be a blast!! I can't wait to meet some fun folks!

I have been playing hard.  I love cleaning out a couple of the kitchen cabinets and banging pots and pans, and also my new great love is Veggie Tales.  I watch my Veggie Tales DVD about 5 times a day....love it!
I also love my winter hat.....even inside!
I've had to start using my nebulizer again because of my little case of bronchitis and junk in my throat.  It works really good.
Too cool for school when I'm sporting my shades.

Hope you all have a great weekend and we'll chat soon!
