A Thankful Thanksgiving Day

Well, it is my first official Thanksgiving Day and it has turned out to be all that I ever dreamed! My day began with a great night's rest and getting up at 8:00am. Then I got up and ate some Cracker Barrel (at least that's what Daddy calls it). It was just my good ole' food that mommy feeds me every morning. Then I just played hard until an awesome afternoon was in order. Then some lunch...

We then headed to grammy and pop-pop's house. We enjoyed a lot of laughs, a ton of food, and a quick nap. It was fun hanging out with my cousin Seth along with his mommy and daddy (my Aunt Denise and Uncle Greg), grammy, pop-pop, and mom-mom. Can't forget my mommy and daddy too. I even got a toy. Didn't know there was gift giving for this holiday.

Now, here's the good stuff...the things that I'm thankful for...

1. The love of my family... I love my grammy & pop-pop (FL), grandma & granddaddy (NC), my aunts & uncles (all across America), my cousins (Bryce, Alan, Seth), my great-grand parents, and of course, my mommy & daddy. I love you all!

2. My church family at Parkview... I've only known you a short time, but thanks for everything!

3. God and His Son Jesus... Looking forward to getting to know Them more.

4. My friends... From my blog to facebook and all those I have met around, I've had a blast with you. Thanks for letting me share my life with you.

5. The ladies at my daddy's office... Thanks for always making a big deal over me. I love stopping in. You hug on me and hold me...I love every minute of it!

6. The students of Overflo... They rock! No wonder why my daddy loves his job so much! I look forward to having a blast with you.

7. The toys of my life... They keep me busy and occuppied!

8. My music... From Steve Fee to Mac Powell, from Smitty (Michael W.) to Meredith Andrews, and from Barney, Elmo and the Cedarmont kids, thanks for putting a spring in my step.

9. My videos and TV... Sid the Science Kid, Super Why (Wyatt), Curious George, Sesame Street, and Wheel of Fortune... thanks for making me smile (and keeping me quite).

10. For the outstanding 8.5 months on this earth! Life is great. I am a very blessed little man.

Well, thanks for letting me say thanks! You probably notice there's no photos today. That's on purpose, it's not about about me today...it's about everything around me!

Happy Thanksgiving,
Davis

Feeling Artistic on a Rainy Thanksgiving Eve

Well, tomorrow is a big day for me and the family.  It's my very first turkey day!  I can't wait.  My mommy told me to be expecting some turkey too.  So it will be off to grammy and pop-pop's house around 2 tomorrow.

But now let's talk about today!  It is nasty outside.  It's been raining all day so we've been trapped inside. I just told my mommy and daddy that I was heading out soon with or without them.  Well, it hasn't been bad or boring all day. I put my creative skills to work and did some drawing for your eyes to enjoy...

This is my latest work of art that features me and my cousin Seth.  Pretty good for an eight month old, huh?  Well, I am now hungry so it's an early dinner.  Then I'm (or we're) outta of here...

Talk to you on Thanksgiving Day!  Gonna write all that I'm thankful for!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Since Sunday I have had a little bit of a stuffy head, snotty nose, and sneezy mouth!  Needless to say, I can't wait to get rid of this mess.  I'm taking my medicine and following Doctors orders, so maybe real soon I will feel like my normal self.

With my sickness, I have been taking vapor baths to open my sinuses some.  I'm not really sure what sinuses are, but that's why Mom says I take vapor baths.  I love taking alot of baths and especially vapor baths because they help me breathe easier.

Well, that's about all for now.  I hope you are having a better week than me and I hope you don't catch this sickness I have.

Have a GREAT week and weekend,
Davis

Sneak Peak

Recently I blogged about a busy weekend when my great Aunts Chris and Carol came down from Delaware to visit.  We had a blast and I loved meeting my two great Aunts.  Aunt Chris sent me a copy of some of the nice pictures she took while here and I thought I would share them with you, so here goes...

And there they are; Aunt Chris, Aunt Carol, and Mom-Mom.  Thanks for the pictures Aunt Chris, I love them all!

Love,

Popeye Needs Spinach

This weekend I was supposed to keep you posted and show you what I did with myself, but I got sick.  I woke up Saturday night over and over and over and could not breathe.  My nose was a mess!  I always sleep better with my pacifier and, of course, when you can't breathe through your nose it's never good to have your mouth stopped up as well.  I had a bad cough too, because of laying down, and all that yucky stuff draining.

Anyhoo, Monday morning came and Mommy took me to the Doctor.  Dr. Davis said that I was just really congested and gave me some medicine to dry up my head. . . YAY, so I can breathe again.  After yesterday's 3 vapor baths and humidifier; today, I feel much better and am well on the way to recovery.
I love holding my pacifier in my mouth on the side, kinda reminds me of Popeye.  Plus if it's in the side, I can breathe better.  You think I would stay healthy and never get sick if I ate spinach like Popeye?  Just a random thought.

Well, I hope you were well this weekend and had a great time.  I hope to see you soon and I hope to be 100% soon.  Please keep me in your prayers if you think of me.

So long,
Davis

Bagels & Bats

This week I've had a couple of new encounters.  The first of my new encounters was with a toy bat.  Mrs. Michelle, my friend from Delaware, sent me some goodies and among them was a really cool spiderman bat and ball.  I really enjoy playing with the bat.  Thanks Mrs. Michelle and Mr. Stan!

My second new encounter was with a frozen bagel.  Mom gave me a half of frozen bagel and it was really fun to play with.  I think she was expecting me to put it in my mouth, but that's crazy, it was much more fun to just play with and destroy.  Who needs to eat it when you can play with it??  Right??

It's been a fun week and I'm sure it holds even more fun this weekend.  I look forward to sharing it all with you later.

So long for now and I hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

All New Fave's

I have some new favorite things I thought I would take a minute and share with you, here goes:

-  My favorite time of the day is at night right after I get my bottle.  It's usually around 8:00ish.  I always get really giggly then and I love laughing with Mommy and Daddy before going to bed.

-  My favorite toy is now the TV remote control.  Mommy and Daddy think I have a radar that locates that thing.  It's such a blast to play with and makes the TV do funny things (although I think Daddy took one of the batteries out because it's not doing anything anymore, ugh)!

-  My favorite food is probably bananas.  I love them because they
have a thick, smooth texture and they are very sweet.

-  My favorite day of the week is Friday because Daddy has the day off of work and is home with Mommy and I.  We always do something fun on Friday.  Like this past Friday I bundled up and we went to St. George Street in St. Augustine, and it was awesome!

-  My favorite new song is Glory to God Forever by Steve Fee.  The Overflo students had it in their worship set a few weekends ago at church and it was the bomb.  I love that song!

Okay so that's just a few I'll give you some more later.  I hope you have a great week.  Mondays are difficult on me because I'm trying to get back on schedule after a busy weekend.

We'll talk soon,
Davis

Take Two

I gave you all the scoop about my Halloween in the last post, but I had several people ask me for better pictures of my awesome costume.  So, Mommy pulled the costume back out and I had to put it on again.  We had a regular ole' photo shoot the at my house.  This is what we got. . . just thought I'd share.

I told Mommy that since I had to dress in the costume again I should get candy again too. . . she didn't buy it!  Oh well, nice try, huh??

So long & happy Thursday,
Davis
