A 40th Celebration

Next weekend, Grammy and Pop-pop will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary! So we decided to celebrate a little early because Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chris were down from Delaware for a visit. It worked out to have a night out on the town on Memorial Day.
I picked the place because I had heard mommy and daddy talk about how good it was. So we headed to...
Stonewood in Ormond was a great dinner with the whole family. All right, here's who everyone is...if you don't know already. Left to right, my Uncle Greg (my daddy's brother), Aunt Denise & their son (my cousin) Seth; Uncle Chris & Aunt Lisa (my daddy's sister); grammy & pop-pop (my daddy's folks); my beautiful mommy, my daddy & and me!
Here's me and my mommy and daddy...
Here's grammy and pop-pop with their two favorite grandchildren!
Happy 40th Anniversary grammy and pop-pop!
Nothing better than celebrating with family! Glad Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chris were here for a visit. Wish they could be closer!
Oh yeah, we finished off the night with heading down the street to the Hershey's Ice Cream Shop for a little sweet treats. It was good!
Well, gotta eat some lunch. Talk to you soon..

One Tough Cookie

Today I was 2 months and 2 weeks old. Because I was sick with a cold during the week that my 2 month doctor visit was originally scheduled, my Mommy had postponed it till today. I had a great morning; slept well last night, and slept late this morning. I had no clue what I was in for at the doctors office. First, when I went in the room, of course, the nurse weighed me. I weighed in at a whopping 14lbs. and 3 oz. My Mommy says I feel heavier than that, but that's what the scale said and we know the doctor's scale is always right! After being weighed the nice nurse measured my length, and she said, "Wow, he's gonna be a tall one. . . he is almost 27 inches long." After that, the doctor came in and checked me out and talked to my Mommy about how I was developing, eating, sleeping, etc. (you know, all the boring doctor stuff). The doctor left saying I looking perfectly healthy, and then said the nurse would be back in. She came in fully equipped to cause me so much pain!!!! She proceeded to give a shot in one leg, and then two shots in the other leg. How much can a little guy handle in one day??? After I had a little crying spell and the once nice, now mean nurse left the room, I was okay. I got a few little naps in this afternoon after watching my favorite DVD, Praise Baby, and I'm doing good now. I'm one tough cookie, so those shots don't bother me a bit! I hope your day went better than mine, and the next time you go to the doctor look out for the mean nurse. We'll chat later, Davis

After Building An Ark...

After 26 inches of rain since last Sunday, we finally completed the ark and braved the outdoors! It was so nice to get out! Me, mommy, and daddy have been busy over the last three days after recovering from cabin fever. Friday night was a night out with grammy and pop-pop at Chili's and movie night at the house. Saturday was a chill out day and we watched another movie at home. Then today (Sunday) was a busy one that included church in the morning, an afternoon out for lunch at Woody's, then home for an afternoon nap! And it was good! Tonight was fun night 'cause we went down to grammy's house for a fun night with the whole gang - Greg, Denise, Seth, my grandparents, and Aunt Lisa & Uncle Chris (they were in town for a visit). They were in Orlando for their 6th anniversary and they got me my first Mickey Mouse. Now it is off to bed 'cause big plans for tomorrow. Gotta celebrate grammy and pop-pop's 40th anniversary (a few days early)! I'll post pictures soon! Good night, Davis Anderson

Rain Rain Go Away

Well, if you are here in Palm Coast you know that it has been raining for over 48 hours straight, and there is more to come. Me and Mommy are tired of it. I've had a cold over the past week and with the rain came a drop in the temperature. So, Mommy does not think it would be a good idea for me to go out in the cool weather.
We have been a little creative finding things to do. Mommy has been washing clothes, which is not very creative, but me. . . well, I have been rockin in my rockin chair. Usually Mommy is cuddling with me in the chair, but this time I decided to fly solo, and boy was it fun!!
Before I got in my nice, big, blue rockin chair I tried sitting up on the sofa and it didn't go so well.
I still haven't figured out why my Mommy and Daddy think sitting on the sofa is so comfortable. It just doesn't do it for me.

No thanks to the sofa. . . as you can see!

Well, I better get going. I'm gonna go rock a little more and if I get tired of that maybe Mommy will play some board games with me . . . or something like that!!

Bye for Now!! D

I'm a Beach Bum Now

It only took 9 weeks and I already like the beach! Me, my mommy, and daddy spent a few hours walking along Flagler Beach.
The weather was a perfect 82 degrees! And a ton of bright sunshine.
Me and my mommy....
And me and my daddy...
All of this and we can enjoy it anyday we want to. The joys of living only 5 minutes from the beach.
Gotta eat...supper time! Davis

My Mommy Is Better Than Your Mommy!

Sunday was a big day around the my parental unit (that's my house). It was my mommy's first "Mother's Day!" You should have seen her. She looked beautiful! Daddy and I went out and bought her a few gifts including a dozen white roses from me!
Here they are in full bloom...
After going to the 12 noon church service, I took my mommy out to lunch with my daddy, pop-pop, grammy, and mom-mom (cool to be with her...she's my great grandmother who's 83). Despite a rough lunch (I was great...the restaurant wasn't), we put some memories into our lives that we'll cherish forever.
Here's a quick photo my daddy snapped as we left the restaurant. Sorry my eyes are closed. The sun was in my eyes...haha!
It was a great day! I love celebrating anything that includes my mommy! She is the greatest mommy in all the world. I am so blessed to have her. Thanks mommy for all your love. I love you!
Well, I hope you celebrated a great day with your mommy! I did!
I'll talk to you soon, Davis Anderson

We're Home

After 5 days on the road, me, my mommy, and my daddy arrived home safely Friday night! We have been on a road trip that included attending the Drive Conference at North Point Church in Alpharetta, GA (I really didn't, but daddy did along with the Parkview staff). Me and the Parkview staff chilling at another eating establishment (it seemed like we ate 9 times a day) One night, we skipped out a little early and all of us went to the Braves Game. It was my first baseball game ever! And I loved ever minute of it! Popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, peanuts - we had it all. Okay, I didn't, but it sure smelled good! Then after the conference was over on Wednesday afternoon, me and my parents headed to Gadsden, AL to see some of my daddy's friends when he traveled with Gold City. We had dinner with Danny, Holly, and their daughter Sadie as well as Joel and Ashley and their son Will (he's only 5 months old so we got along well). We then called it a night! The next day was busy with us seeing Gold City off as they left out for the weekend. That bus was big! It was fun meeting all the Gold City peeps as well as seeing where my daddy worked and lived. Then it was on to see my daddy's friends - the Parrack's. My daddy traveled with Jay Parrack years back. So we got together with Jay, Keri, and their kids- Kaylyn and LJ. We laughed a lot! Jay is crazy. Here's me and Jay. I was a little spooked by him because my daddy has such a deep voice and Jay is the exact opposite. He sounds like a women (maybe that's why he sang tenor for GC). After our visit with the Alabama folks, we headed for an overnight stay back in Atlanta. Here's me and Mommy chilling at the hotel... It was time to head back to Palm Coast after being gone for 5 days! BTW, I was great on this whole trip. I was on my best behaviour! We arrived home on Friday night and I was wore out... Now, I just got up on this Saturday morning and I am feeling great! I am glad to be home! Now it's time to get ready for a big day tomorrow...Mother's Day 2009! My mommy's first one! Gotta run...lunch time, Davis
