More on Vacation...

So, it has been a very busy few weeks.  I have had a ton of activities and events taking place that I'm looking forward to sharing here in the future.  I just really needed to drop back by and share some more of the fun things we did while on vacation in Gatlinburg.

First things first, we went to a fun place called Ober Gatlinburg.  In order to take part in all the attractions at Ober Gatlinburg, you must first take an Aerial Tram to the top of a mountain, and that was alot of fun.  Once we arrived at the top of the mountain Daddy, Uncle Quentin, Grandaddy and Alan went to ride the Alpine Slide, but because I'm smaller than them, I settled for the race cars and train ride.  They did have a little alpine slide in front of the tram station as a demonstration and I enjoyed pretending to ride!  Overall Ober Gatlinburg was a ton of fun for all!

We also enjoyed some mini golf while in Gatlinburg and lots of fun games!  Overall the whole vacation was tons of fun, and before we all left to go our separate ways there was the "Last Meal".  We all went to Flapjacks for breakfast and I ordered a bear shaped pancake!  It was super cool!!
Hope you are having a wonderful Fall break!  Check back soon because I need to tell you about the Grace Church Pumpkin Patch that I went to!

Gatlinburg & Family

If you've ever been to Gatlinburg,TN, you know it's a town full of tourist...usually families like mine just spending time together.  This past week I had the opportunity to meet some of my family there and hang out for a few days.  We rented a cabin and my Grandma and Grandaddy Asby along with Uncle Quentin, Aunt Lori, Alan and Bryce and Myself, Mommy and Daddy all stayed together.  It was a ton of fun! We played pool, watched movies, played foosball, and played air hockey at our cabin.  One day while I was taking a nap in my stroller, all the family decided to take pictures without me, so here goes...

Uncle Quentin, Aunt Lori, Alan and Bryce

Grandma and Grandaddy Asby

Mommy & Daddy

I'm not really sure what everyone was thinking taking pictures without me, but I'll share some pictures of me later in the week.  We had a blast!!

Talk to ya more later about vacation.

Daddy's Big Day

August twenty-sixth was the big day....it was Daddy's big day!!  I get very excited about birthdays and the twenty-sixth was Daddy's!  I love celebrating Daddy and all, but really I love presents and cake!  Sunday, I wasn't feeling 100% and I didn't want to take my virus to church and share with anyone else, so Mom and I stayed home.  We stayed home and waited with great anticipation for Daddy to come back home so we could have a great big bash on his BIG day!!  We had a really nice lunch, birthday cake with candles and singing, and then..... drum roll please.....presents!!  When anyone at my house has a birthday and gets presents I always get the privilege of helping them open them.  It was awesome helping Daddy open his gifts and celebrating him, despite the fact that I wasn't feeling so well.
So, just in case you missed my Dad's birthday, it's not too late.  He will accept any belated birthday gifts you wish to send our way:)

Bye for now,

First Day of School

Well, well, it's been a busy summer and as it is coming to a close one of the things that I look foward to is going back to school.  I was pumped this year to start going to school a few days a week.  I have new teachers this year, and some new classmates.  I look forward to singing songs, saying the pledge of allegiance, crafts, Bible stories, playing on the outdoor and the indoor playgrounds, and so many more things!!  Unfortunately I went to school one day and then was sick that night, so I was set back a few days, but today I was back and at 100%!!  It was a great day back and the only thing that I DO NOT like about school is the fact that I have to lay down and take a nap (lay quietly) at the end of the school day.  Other than nap time, it is a blast!

Ready for school!
So, it's been a busy few weeks, and I have so much more to share with you so stay tuned..... more to come ........soon!!

Love ya'll,

Surprise Setback

As most of you know, this past week was supposed to be my first week of school.  I'm gonna be attending a program called Tree Hollow and it is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  I enjoyed school last year and was a little excited to go back after Summer break.

On Tuesday morning I woke up not feeling great but went on to school anyway, since it was the first day and I had alot of anticipation about meeting new friends and having a good ole' time.  When Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up I just was not feeling so hot....  actually I was hot;)  I had a fever and continued to have one that night.  After running a fever for about 24 hours, I then began to have a rash all over me.  Mommy called the doctor and the doctor said (no more monkeys jumping on the bed... just kidding!) that I had a virus known as hand, foot, and mouth disease.  To make a long story short, I have had a fever on and off, a rash on most of my body, and some sores in my mouth for about 4-5 days!  It was terrible!!

I am very thankful for those of you who've been praying for me.  Over the last few days I have felt much better but am still taking it easy as I recover back to full health.  Today is actually the first day I am eating normal again, and my stomach isn't bothering me, so that's awesome!   I better run, just wanted to tell you about my little setback.  Please check back soon as I have alot to catch you all up on!

Love ya,
Davis
