Daddy's Big Day

For those of you who don't know, today's is my Daddy's birthday. Since it hasn't been that long since I was born, I vividly remember what it was like in my first moments on earth, and I wonder what it was like when my Daddy was born??? I'll bet my Grammy could tell me all about it!! I'll have to ask Daddy what his first few moments on earth were like. . . wonder if he remembers??? My special surprise for my Daddy was to update all the pictures in his huge, collage type picture frame of me. He has a huge frame in his office of all black and white pictures of me, so Mommy and I went and had my new pictures developed, loaded Daddy's picture frame with them, and wrapped it for him to be surprised this morning. He really liked it and he was totally surprised with all of his new pictures! YAY, mission accomplished!! Saturday night Me, Mommy and Daddy went out to eat. Mom and I surprised Daddy with dinner at TPC Sawgrass.
For anyone who may not know that is a professional golf course at Ponte Vedra, and if you know my Daddy you know that anything related to golf, he loves! Mom and I scored once again!
So, if you see my Daddy today please wish him a Happy Birthday! I know I've only known him for just over 5 months but he sure seems to be a swell guy, and he's a great Daddy (my favorite)! I love you Daddy & Happy Birthday, from your favorite son!!

New Adventures

It was a very, very busy weekend and Monday for me and my little family. We had a early celebration on Saturday night, but I can't tell you what it was for because I will post about it later, but boy did we have a blast! Then, Sunday we were at church in the morning for two services and then came home for a big lunch. I was really exhausted, as usual, after leaving the nursery where I play with all of my friends. I had a great nap on Sunday afternoon and woke up ready to go. The adventure of the day was when my Daddy took my high chair out for the first time and we gave it a test drive. I enjoy sitting up high in my chair because I feel like such a big boy and there are so many gadgets on it to play with and touch. Mommy says I eat much better in the high-chair and I think I agree. I also had a new experience on Monday night. . . my walker! I love playing with all of the fun gadgets on it as well, although I haven't really caught on to moving it with my own feet. I'll figure it out though, just give me time. Well, stay tuned for more of my adventure on Saturday, and I hope you all have a wonderful week! Davis

Pillows & Squash

My last few days have been a little tough. I think I am trying to get these things called TEETH, in my mouth, and boy does it hurt. I'm trying really hard not to give my Mommy and Daddy a hard time though, even though my mouth really does hurt. I was given a wonderful little bean shaped pillow before I was born, and I love it. The other day I kept trying to pick my head up (like I always do) and my Daddy had the novel idea to use my favorite pillow to prop my head. I really enjoyed being able to lay in the floor and still see everything. I love my Davis sized pillow! Thanks for my pillow Mrs. Beth! Another new eating adventure I've had is with squash. So far, I like green beans, sweet potatoes, and squash. I hate cereal and peas. Neither my Mommy or my Daddy like peas either so I'm pretty sure they will never make me eat them (thank goodnes). The only thing I don't like about eating is sometimes I get a little over anxious and Mommy can't seem to feed me fast enough. . . the end result is me screaming, because I love to eat!!
School is getting ready to start back and I kinda wish I was going, but Mommy and Daddy say that it won't be long. I hope all my friends enjoy their first day of school.
Well, that's enough of me and I'll keep you posted on my little life!
Have a great weekend! Davis

We Are Family

It has been a very busy few weeks around here! It started last week when we got out and about for my Uncle Greg's birthday on Sunday, Aug 2 when we went to grammy and pop-pop's house for a party. Then a day or two later, we went to mom-mom's (she's my great grandmother here in Palm Coast). She's been out of town for a couple weeks so we dropped off a belated birthday gift to her. We had a great time hanging out with her...
Then the next family event was Aunt Denise's surprise birthday. It was a "Lordy, Lordy, look who's turning 40" event (haha..I just made that line up...pretty good, huh?). My Uncle Greg threw a big party where a bunch of friends and family showed up at the park (about 125 peeps). It was fun...got to hang out on the birthday girl's shoulder all night!
Just after we got home that night (Aug. 9), my family from NC arrived. Uncle Q (Quentin), Aunt Lori, and my cousins, Bryce and Alan came down for a 5 day visit with me! Here I am with Bryce...
Now we stayed busy all week taking them all around....St. Augustine, Daytona, and here in Palm Coast. We had a blast. Even Uncle Q led worship at Overflo Student Night. That was cool because at the end, he and my mommy sang together!
But as they say, all good things must come to an end. So they packed up the vehicle Friday afternoon and headed home. I already miss them!
Well, it is back to me, mommy, and daddy here at the parental unit! Just going to relax before heading out to weekend worship at Parkview. Mommy is going to be singing all weekend.
Talk to you later,
Davis

My Week

It has been a very busy week already. Mommy and I have been out and about every day so far this week. There's just a few things I wanted to share with you guys. First of all, my head is really not as big as it looks in some of my pictures. . . particularly this one. . .
Another thing I wanted to share is that I wore a hat the other day. My Daddy wears hats some times, particularly when he has bad hair days (don't tell him I told you). I didn't have a bad hair day, but thought I would test drive me a hat. I enjoyed that my hat matched my outfit.
I've gotta run, but there's more so come back soon and I'll share the rest of my week.
Time for bed, Davis

Skills

Daddy, Mommy and I had a very busy Friday and Saturday. On Friday morning we were all up early and we had to take my Daddy to the ear, nose, and throat doctor to have him checked out. His ears have been hurting alot lately so Mommy and I took him to Port Orange. On the way home we needed to get the oil changed in the car so we stopped off in Daytona. While at the car lot it was time for me to eat. Mommy got my bottle ready and I grabbed it and went to town. Mommy and Daddy were impressed that I could hold my bottle. I knew I could all along but I was just holding out on them to impress them with my skills. It was a first, and let me tell you that bottle was good!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
