Normal Days

I know some of you may not believe it but sometimes I just have regular ole' days where there's not a whole lot going on.  I do love those days occasionally, and that's about how often we have them.....just occasionally.  My house is so cozy and I love just watching a little Veggie Tales and playing with my toys sometimes.

Since I have been home from Florida, Daddy's been out of town for a few days and so Mom and I had to go to the Doctor and then we went out for lunch, and we also spent a little bit of time hanging out at Barnes & Noble with Thomas the Train.  It's always a good time at Barnes & Noble, and Mom likes it because I play hard and it wears me out.  It's always nice when Dad comes back home, because my house is just not the same when Mom or Dad are not there....I love it when we are all home!  In case you were wondering why Mom and I went to the Doctor, well, it's because I have another ear infection.  I love that pink medicine she always gives me (amoxacylin) and it certainly does make me feel better!
I hope you all are having a wonderful Winter season and I hope that you are taking a little time to relax (like I am)!  Have a great week!

Flying South

It's been a very busy couple of weeks since our first church service here in Hendersonville, and Dad has been so busy.  We left on Wednesday to go down to Florida to visit some family and for my Dad to speak at a Overflo Youth Event.  I had the awesome opportunity to stay with Grammy and Pop-pop for a few days.  I was able to play with their toys and watch their big TV. . . cool stuff!
Along with all of that, we were able to open more Christmas gifts and so now I've opened Christmas gifts in November, December and January. . . I think I can handle that every year. Let me rewind a little but though, we boarded the plane to Florida, and it was my first flight!  It was exciting, and I am so glad I had plenty of snacks and my DVD player to make it not just good but great.
I enjoyed playing with my cuz Seth, we hung out and played with our new Christmas toys!  I had a great time with all the toys!  Overall it was a great trip, and it was a great flight home as well.
Hope you had a great weekend and we will catch up soon!

It's a New Day, It's a New Dawn.....It's a NEW CHURCH!!

So, Sunday, January 9 has come and gone and man was it a blast!  Grace Church had it's first preview service and Daddy worked really hard to make sure that the nursery was awesome for me!  He did a great job and I loved it in there.  He even made sure that the Veggie Tales were hanging out in there with me.  We had so much fun I can't wait till the next preview service in February!  Here's a couple of pictures from the day.
Before going to the nursery I had to stop by the cafe and grab a little morning grub, and then off with Boband Larry I went!

Better run...You have a great week!

Bring On the "New"...

In case you didn't know, another year has rolled around and we have welcomed 2011!  I did watch the ball drop and I must say that the excitement over that event is a little overrated, but that's okay.  There are actually a couple of new things I need to tell you about.
  1. I have a brand new cousin!  Logan Christopher Miller was born on Wednesday, December  22nd, weighing in at a whopping 5 pounds and 15 ounces.  I have not officially met him yet but I will in the near future.  I also look forward to seeing his parents again too, they are my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Chris. You can check Logan out at http://www.loganchristophermiller.blogspot.com/.
  2. Next weekend...Sunday, January 9th will be the very first meeting of Grace Church in Hendersonville, TN.  My Daddy has been working really hard taking care of all preliminary preparation to make this first official "preview" service GREAT!!  We are excited and hope that you will come and see us at the Regal Cinemas @ The Streets of Indian Lakes!  Check Grace out at http://www.gracechurchlife.org/.  Hope you can come out and visit me in the nursery!
Well, there's just a few new things for you to look into.  Today, Sunday, January 2nd, me and the family went to visit LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN.  The staff there are some friends of ours and they will be the mother church of Grace Church.  It was fun to visit them and then eat lunch at O'Charleys, which I love because they have the best bread in the world!!  We also did a little shopping around and I was so worn out by the end of the afternoon!  All in all it was a great day and I hope the rest of the week goes just as well!

Have a great week!

Celebrating HIS Birthday

This month has been great and all of the celebration of December culminates on the twenty-fifth of the month when we get to receive and give gifts to each other.  I was excited to hear about Jesus' birth and how He was born in a manger for us.  A couple of days prior to the twenty-fifth Mom, Dad and I went to the Gaylord Opry Hotel to see all the beautiful Christmas decorations.  There a Christmas tree there that was the largest I've ever seen, and man was it beautiful!
So, on Christmas morning I slept till about nine o'clock and when I got up this is what I found...
Now this was definitely worth getting out of bed for.  The present opening began and then I played with my toys for hours after that.  My favorite gift of the day was my Handy-Manny pop-up tent...I love it, and after I opened it I opened all of my other gifts while sitting in my new tent.
After opening all the gifts and eating a very big breakfast....and then playing with the new toys a little more, we all got dressed and went to some friends' home.  While there we celebrating Jesus' birth with cake and singing "Happy Birthday" to Him.  I'm pretty sure my Mom and Dad said this would become a family tradition of ours!
After a great nap and some more playing, the day ended!  It was definitely a Merry Christmas for our family and I love all of my gifts.  I hope that you and your family had a wonderful time celebrating Jesus' birthday!

Good Night,
Davis

PS.  Stay tuned for the next chapter in my life...

Christmas....The Whole Month of December

Recently I had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas a little early with Grammy and Pop-pop and then in North Carolina with the Asbys. Before we arrived in Greenville, NC we decided that we would stop in and see some of my favorite cousins, Crystal and Darren.  It was awesome because we didn't get to their house until about 3:00 AM and then they were dying to give me some presents....I loved it!!  They gave me some super cool hats along with some clothes and toys!  The greatest thing was, they said they were gonna come visit me soon...woohoo!!  We were ready to leave Charlotte, NC and head over to Greenville when it started snowing....and that was a first for me!
When I arrived in Greenville I had some of Grandma's chocolate pie, and it was yummy! It's always great to see my Aunt Lori, Alan, Bryce, and of course, play with Uncle Quentin!  It was fun opening some presents with them and playing with some new toys, including Mr. Potato head!
I was able to see so many people that I hadn't seen in a long time and even meet some people that I had never met before.  It was cool!

I also went to my Grandaddy Asby's church on Wednesday night while in North Carolina.  I had the chance to meet alot of really nice people there!
I have to say, it was a really long ride but, it was well worth it to be able to see everyone and have the blast that we had.  I hope you all are having a great December and that you have opened some presents early too!

I will talk to you real soon, because I need to tell you what we've experienced here in Hendersonville!

Merry Christmas,
Davis

Couple of Things

Recently I have been one busy boy!  Grammy and Pop-pop left Tennessee and headed back to Florida and I started preparing for a quick trip to North Carolina.  I'm looking forward to connecting with some of my Mom's old friends and some family as well.  We will have a dessert fellowship at my Grandaddy Asby's church and it will be a blast!! I can't wait to meet some fun folks!

I have been playing hard.  I love cleaning out a couple of the kitchen cabinets and banging pots and pans, and also my new great love is Veggie Tales.  I watch my Veggie Tales DVD about 5 times a day....love it!
I also love my winter hat.....even inside!
I've had to start using my nebulizer again because of my little case of bronchitis and junk in my throat.  It works really good.
Too cool for school when I'm sporting my shades.

Hope you all have a great weekend and we'll chat soon!
